Thank you for Fundraising for HCCN during April 2016

Insane Terrain

They chose the right name for the event. Mud, cold water and so much laughing and then so many people obviously feeling very proud of themselves for completing what looked from where I was sitting to be a very testing circuit.

But the individual thank you must go first to Team Bex with their amazing turn out and once again choosing to support HCCN. Just everyone gets involved in either the event or managing the bouncy castle, or in cake sales. You are all truly phenomenal.

HCCN Balloon Race

You probably recognize these two Team Bex members from their other roles.

This is what Team Bex looks like wet!!! See them going through the water in the background?

HCCN Balloon Race friends

And here are the muddy mothers aka Sarah our treasurer and her friend.

Balloon Race

Then a big thank you to the HCCN volunteers who turned out to sell balloons for our virtual balloon race which starts on April 24th.
We took real balloons along to advertise the race but lots of small people soon found better uses for them.

And the most exciting news is that Insane Terrain Peterborough has invited HCCN to be the charity they work with over the next few years. So we start planning for next year tomorrow.

Thank you also to Andy Lathwell and the people of Techturn, Wellingborough. Andy raised £230 in sponsorship for HCCN.

Nick Bennett cycle ride

Thank you to Nick Bennett who completed a cycle ride and in the process raised over £800 for HCCN.
Thanks Nick who also competed at Insane Terrain and, against better advice, insisted on wearing his woolly hat. If anyone picked it up from that muddy puddle he’d love to have it back he says.

Fundraising Ideas

Do you have an idea for a fundraising event? If you do please pass it on to us either through the nursing team or direct to the charity by emailing info@hccnthecharity.org or ringing or texting to 07738 208831. All ideas are good ideas.

Our 100 club started by our dear friend Viv has reached the halfway point in membership now but there is still time for you to join. The form is on this website and remember half of what we earn we pay out in prizes – click here to learn more…

If you have raised money for us and we haven’t said thank you then please tell me. We want to say thank you.
What you do to help us to help people in Huntingdonshire managing a diagnosis of cancer is terrific and we value every penny.
