HCCN Conference 20th April 2021. Here's another Breakout Group speaker.
Lynn Reader, is qualified as a Reflexologist for almost 6 years ago, offering Reflexology to clients in Huntingdon and surrounding areas, and as a Volunteer with HCCN at the Ellington Drop-in.
She is presenting Reflexology and spreading the word that Reflexology is recognised as a beneficial therapy working alongside standard healthcare, supporting clients at all stages of their cancer diagnosis.
During the presentation, she will introduce the theory behind the therapy, the many benefits which include stress relief, improved sleep and an enhanced sense of well-being. She'll let you know what to expect during a Reflexology Session and we'll do some Self Help Hand Reflexology Techniques focusing on calming, breathing and relaxation.

Recently, Hunts Forum dedicated a Lifetime Achievement Award to our founding Trustee Susan for all the work she had done setting up our charity. Sadly she had passed away before the awards took place so here we have her lovely husband, Graham, receiving her certificate along with our chair Jan (who is equally as lovely!).

Would you like to raise money for us and it not cost you a penny? There are several ways you can do this and one is with the Co-op!
The Co-op is doubling what goes to community organisations and local causes when you buy selected Co-op products and services, and 2p for every £1 spent goes back to you. Co-op Members can choose our cause and project in our own dedicated page on the Coop membership website. The link to our cause profile page is membership.coop.co.uk/causes/48876
The Co-op we have been linked to is the one in Brampton High Street Huntingdon PE28 4TQ. However, money raised through Co-op Membership can be generated anywhere in the UK. Therefore, our mission is to encourage our users and supporters to become Co-op Members so they can select HCCN as their cause anytime they shop in Coop. If not already a member, you can join online at www.coop.co.uk/membership or by downloading the Co-op app.
Online Tai Chi Class with Dmitry Sokolik In the class you are invited to a deeper relaxation, than you are used to. In this state, the body has a chance to recognise that there is no immediate danger, stopping saving energy for the survival and switching off the sympathetic nervous system. This is when the parasympathetic nervous system naturally has a chance. This is when the body can start using the energy for regeneration and healing. The same energy it previously kept for survival. This also facilitates natural immune system strengthening, which is so precious now. And, finally, the sense of wellbeing and inner strength appears naturally as the result of the practice.
